| News DOJ Submits Brief to Supreme Court January 30, 2012 Claims they do not need strike down entire Healthcare Law In a brief submitted to the Supreme Court, the Department of Justice states that if the individual mandate as found to be unconstitutional, they do not need to strike down the entire law. The DOJ says that only two provisions need to be eliminated if the mandate is struck down: the requirement for insurers to accept everyone regardless of health status and to apply community rates. Others contend that if the individual mandate is stricken down, the rest of the law must go. More on this and other healthcare related articles can be found in the January 30, 2012 NAHU Newswire. |
