The July 14th , 2011 NAHU Newswire reports that an ongoing effort by House GOP representatives continues. Congressional leaders claim it will lead to rationing of care while HHS Secretary Sebelius claims it is a valuable cost-cutting tool with appropriate safeguards.

The July 15th , 2011 NAHU Newswire reports a bipartisan group of lawmakers have introduced legislation to remove the restrictions on FSA's and HSA's limiting reimbursement for over the counter medications to those prescribed by a physician. Because of this limitation, physicians are seeing patients for the sole purpose of writing prescriptions for over the counter drugs.
