Independent Payment Advisory Board could ration care

This week, house Republicans will start their attack of the Independent Payment Advisory Board (IPAB). Members of the board will be appointed by the administration and it is feared that the panel could arbitrarily cut services to Medicare patients with little congressional oversight. Members opposed to this are concerned that the panel could make severe cuts in Medicare and it will undermine their ability to represent seniors.
