Most Americans Will Obtain Healthcare Coverage Through Employer

Once healthcare reform goes into full effect

As reported in the June 22, 2011 NAHU Newswire, one of two studies released Tuesday project that more Americans will obtain health insurance through their employer once the full effects of healthcare reform are implemented. It is believed that the combination of tax incentives for small businesses to provide health coverage for workers and the penalties for not providing coverage will be the catalyst for this increase.

HHS has released rules regarding a Third-Party review of denied medical claims. The intent is to guarantee patients have the same rights to appeal nationwide. States will be given until January 1, 2012 to adjust their regulations that health insurers comply with the law.
