State approves Concord Hospital's $11.6 Million Upgrade

This in spite of Governor Lynch's call for a moratorium on certificates
As reported in the March 22, 2011 Concord Monitor, the Health Services Planning Board voted 6-1 to approve the certificate of need requested by Concord Hospital. The $11.6 million upgrade will add inpatient an outpatient operating rooms, 12 private rooms and other upgrades. The next step is the approval by the Concord City Planning Board. A hearing has been scheduled for April 20th and final approval is expected. The general contractor Pizzagalli Construction, a South Burlington Vermont based company.
