| News Health Care Reform One-Year Anniversary March 22, 2011 Small businesses may not be taking advantage of tax credit In an effort to raise awareness of the small business tax credit available to businesses that meet the criteria for an up to thirty five percent tax credit, HHS Secretary Sebelius and Senator Harry Reid are holding events to draw attention to the credit. Critics of the credit claim the restrictions are too stringent because they are for businesses with 25 or less employees with average annual wages of less than $50,000. Rep. Denny Rehberg has written to HHS Secretary Sebelius regarding the sustainability of the CLASS (Community Living Assistance Services Support) program. Sebelius has voiced concerns regarding the sustainability of the program and Rehberg want to know if the analysis in early 2010 revealed this and why she did not question this before voting on the law took place. More on these articles and other healthcare related topics can be found in the March 22, 2011 NAHU Newswire. |
