As Expected, Judge Rules Healthcare Law Unconstitutional

December 14, 2010

The U.S. Supreme Court may make final decision

Judge Henry E. Hudson called the requirement "unconstitutional " requiring that every American who can afford it buy health insurance. The individual mandate, he said, "exceeds the constitution boundaries of Congressional power."

Respondents to an ABC/Washington Post poll indicate support for the healthcare reform law is at forty-three percent, down a point. Fifty-two percent of those polled oppose the reform. QC HealthBeat adds, "When asked what Congress should do about the law, about 25 percent said that lawmakers should repeal all of it and 30 percent favor repealing some parts."
