Virginia challenge first of many

U.S. District Court Judge Henry Hudson will release his ruling around noon today. The Virginia lawsuit challenges the constitutionality of the healthcare legislation. It is believed that Judge Hudson will rule that Congress overstepped their authority by requiring individuals to obtain health insurance by 2014 or pay a fine. Oral arguments will be heard Thursday in Florida regarding their repeal lawsuit.

Doctors are concerned about how the healthcare reform will impact the overall health system and may find themselves looking at alternative solutions for their practices such as cutting back on hours or selling their practices to hospitals. Twenty-six percent of those surveyed said they would continue practicing as they currently do for the next three years.
