Midterm Elections Could Impact Healthcare Reform

Impact will depend on what party controls the House and Senate

Healthcare reform appears to be the central focus in the upcoming midterm elections. Depending on which party controls the House and Senate, implementation of "Obamacare" could be impeded or accelerate far more reaching reforms.

Also reported in the October 28, 2010 NAHU Newswire is an article surrounding the Long-Term Care Provision, also known as the CLASS ACT, that was include in the Healthcare Reform legislation. The program becomes effective January 1, 2011 but HHS has not released any details surrounding the program to include premium, benefits and rules.
