Twenty states have joined the challenge

Friday, US District Court Judge Roger Vinson allowed two major counts of the lawsuit to proceed challenging the constitutionality of the healthcare law: The requirement that nearly all American buy insurance and the required expansion of Medicaid. It is anticipated that the suit will ultimately come in front of the Supreme Court for a ruling.

The National Governors Association has recently sent a letter to HHS requesting more time to implement their Exchanges citing in addition to the requirement to establish the exchange, they are busy trying to implement other provisions of the healthcare law.
