Arrests Made in Medicare Scams

Ninety-four arrested around country

Numerous raids carried out across the country on Friday resulted in ninety-four arrests tied to Medicare fraud. It is estimated that the scams totaled more than $251 million for fraudulent claims of such services as home healthcare, physical therapy and durable medical equipment. Cracking down on Medicare fraud is one or the ways the government planned to help pay for healthcare reform.
