| News CDC Claims 90% of Patients Do Not Follow Medical Advice July 6, 2010 Experts are asked to simplify communication The Centers for Disease Control reports that 90% of adults fail to follow medical advice because they do not understand their healthcare providers instructions. Providers are being asked to simplify the instructions they give to patients. Harvard Pilgrim Healthcare has agreed to limit rate increases for individuals and small businesses. Rate increases will range between 7-11percent. Harvard Pilgrim Healthcare officials claim they will lose between $5-$10 million for the between April and July and then break even for the next eight months.
