High Risk Pools in Several States Accepting Applications Today

Montana and Pennsylvania first states to offer coverage

The high-risk pools were designed to provide relief for uninsured individuals that could not find coverage in the private market. To be eligible for the pool, you must have been uninsured for six months and have been denied coverage because of a pre-existing medical condition. Prices will vary by state and could range from $140 to $900 a month.
