| News Health Care Reform Fails to Address College Health Plans May 3, 2010 School sponsored plans may exploit students Health Care Reform legislation sought to cover young adults but failed to examine school sponsored plans. Some schools require students to enroll in the plans and are often confusing and costly. An April 30th article in the New York Times, Patient Money column written by Walencia Konrad, addressed balance billing. Balance billing is when a provider receives a discounted payment from an insurance company and in turn, bills the patient for the remaining balance. These articles and other health related articles can be read in the May 3, 2010 NAHU Newswire. |
