High-income households to pay more in Medicare taxes

The President signed the Healthcare Reform Bill into law yesterday in front of hundreds at the White House. Not all the provisions contained within the bill will take effect immediately, such as protections for children with pre-exiting conditions and the elimination of over-the-counter drugs as eligible expenses in HSA's. HRA's and FSA's. According to Kate Cyrul, spokesperson for the Senate HELP Committee, said: "full protection for children would not come until 2014". Until the Reconciliation process is complete, the full extent of healthcare reform and its ramifications have yet to be seen
