President Wants Immediate Vote on Healthcare Bill

Wants legislation done by end of March.

The President has indicated that the time for debate is over and is urging Congress for an immediate vote on healthcare. Senate Majority Leader, Harry Reid has said it may take longer to deliver meaningful reform this year. Invitations have been extended to insurance carriers to appear before the House Ways and Mean Committee to testify about health premiums.
