Senate Waiting on CBO to Release Cost of Senate Healthcare Reform Bill

Debate could start next week

As reported in the November 16, 2009, NAHU Newswire : Senate Majority Leader, Harry Reid (D-NV) hopes to start debate on the Senate's version of the health care reform bill next week. Currently the Senate is waiting on the Congressional Budget Office's review of the cost of the bill. It will take 60 votes to pass the Senate to avoid a filibuster that has been promised by the GOP.
