Congressional Business Office Has Yet to Release Finance Committee Bill Score

October 7, 2009

The October 7, 2009 NAHU Newswire continues to feature Health Care Reform news articles addressing important issues of the day.

Cost estimates associated with the Senate Finance Committee bill have some questioning if it exceeds the $1 trillion-plus cost as President Obama promises to not add to the budget deficit. It is uncertain how four Committee members will vote on the legislation, Senators: Snowe (R-Maine), Rockefeller (D-WV), Lincoln (D-AR) and Wyden (D-OR) are contemplating their decision. While it is expected that the Democrats will support the bill, the differences in opinion are just a preview of what will be a challenging debate on the Senate floor.
