Some Democrats refused to pledge support for the bill
October 5, 2009 NAHU Newswire reports the Senate Finance Committee is working on putting their version of a Health Care Reform Bill to a vote later this week. In the mean time, Democrats are pressuring moderates to support the public option. While moderate Senators are concerned that they need a bill that will withstand their constituent's scrutiny, Charles Schumer (D-NY) and Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) "indicated that state-specific or Senator-specific sweeteners might be added to secure centrist votes."Other articles headlined in the October 5th NAHU Newswire are:
