September 30, 2009

Two additional attempts to add a public option fail.

In what is posturing to be a setback for the President, the Senate Finance Committee reform bill doesn't favor a public health plan option. Two attempts by Senators Rockefeller and Schumer to add a public option failed. Some are calling this a serious setback for the President and Democrats are calling for President Obama to become more active in this process.
