Senator Baucus' Healthcare Reform Plan Criticized by Both Parties

Plan is too costly to all

In the latest edition of the NAHU Newsletter, Senator Baucus' bill has been criticized by both parties. Others are concerned about the cost to low and middle-income individuals that would be forced to buy health insurance that they could not afford. Senator Jay Rockefeller (D-WV) called the bill "a big, big tax on the middle class." Senator Hatch (R-UT) urges congress to step back and "start over on a truly bipartisan bill".
