IRS releases 2010 HSA Requirements

Deductible and HSA Contributions Amounts Increased

Starting January 1, 2010 the minimum deductible for high deductible health plan participants will increase from $1,150 to $1,200 for a single and from $2,300 to $2,400 for a family. Out of pocket maximums will increase from $5,800 to $5,950 for a single and $11,600 to $11,900 for a family.

Maximum annual contributions to a Health Savings Account are increasing as follows: Single from $3,000 to $3,050 and family from $5,950 to $6,150.
