Generic Drugs Save YOU Money

December 4, 2008

Many retail pharmacies offer $4 co-pays for 30-day generic medications

Many retail pharmacies are offering generic drugs for $4.00 co-pays for a 30-day supply and 90-day supplies for $12.00 or less. Savings alone could be $72.00 for an annual supply of a maintenance medication based on your medical plan's $10 generic co-pay (savings could be more if your generic co-pay is greater). Some plans have minimal membership fees to take advantage of the savings while others do not. To see if your medications qualify for the discounted savings, visit the following retail pharmacies or websites. Some pharmacies offer to contact your treating provider to see if your current medications can be changed to a generic drug that is on the discounted listing. It's worth asking- - and who couldn't use a little more cash in their pocket?
