What is 2-1-1?

2-1-1 is an easy to remember telephone number connecting callers at no cost to information about critical health and human services available in their community. On June 11, 2008, New Hampshire residents could call 2-1-1 (or 1-866-444-4211 from out of state and TYY: (603) 634-3388) to be connected to a trained information and referral specialist who can provide them with critical information they need to get help. The system is a comprehensive information clearinghouse about local and state government services, as well as charitable programs and initiatives available to New Hampshire citizens.
